# “Can’t select database” Error

 * Hi guys,
 * I think i sort of screwed up the upgrade, so had to do some fiddling with restoring
   databases and the like. By using phpmyadmin, i am fairly certain that the database
   is back in tact and importantly, named the same. I am getting this error message
   for all pages of my site at the moment:
 * “Can’t select database
 * We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and
   password is okay) but not able to select the magicric_wp1 database.”
 * I am 100% sure that the database magicric_wp1 is there and populated! Any clues
   where I should start looking for problems next?

 * Found the answer myself! Sorry!
 * It was to do with the fact that the database had not been setup to have a user–
   easily rectified.
