# Can’t select database

 * WordPress 4.7 under Linux16 & Xampp 5.6 Lampp/htdocs/installed. Have create DB
   phpmyadmin set and received then following error message during the settingup
   to instalacion(xampp, mySql & Proftpd running):
 * ******************************************
    Can’t select database We were able
   to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is 
   okay) but not able to select the boxes database. *Are you sure it exists? *Does
   the user admin have permission to use the boxes database? *On some systems the
   name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_boxes.
   Could that be the problem? ******************************************
 * Had checked all Msge hints, Prblm still persistent
    Does anyone have a note or
   a solution?

 * Does the database user you made have all MySQL permissions? E.g. create_tables,
   drop_tables, etc.

    I have to create 2 users during, installation! for a localhost installation
   the db-user should be “root”, then it works fine! thanx kikosanjuan

 * Its seems there is some permission issue. Pls check user permissions.
