    Hi,
We’re setting up your plugin to send to our registered subscribers (6000+) on a per post publication basis but it’s not sending.

I’ve tested the plugin and the SMTP settings and they’re working when sending individual emails. I’m also tracking the email log.

Looking at the log file, it doesn’t appear that your plugin is firing at all on publication of a new post.

The site is using the new Gutenburg editor and I see on another post that you have asked about this so could that be a reason?

    Hope you can help.

In testing Subscribe2 works fine with Gutenberg. If emails are not showing in the log there are a few things to check.

For now at least set the number of recipients per email to 1 in the Subscribe2 > Settings page under the Email Settings tab – that will make generated emails more visible.

Under the Registered Users tab in the same page, make sure you have no excluded categories

Next, have a check which category your last post was assigned to when it was published. Then have a look at the Subscribe2 > Subscribers page in the Registered Subscribers tab, and there is a drop down filter that lists the categories, what is the number in brackets after the category name in that drop down?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
I’ve checked all those things – set the number of recipients per email to 1 (it was 0 previously). There are no excluded categories.

For the last post category there are 6000+ subscribers linked to it.

Is there anything else to check?

If i try to filter by that category I only get a single record returned even though it says (6375) against that category.

Well, I think you’ve found the problem at least.

If you filter on Registered Subscribers, how many records are displayed and what is the number in the brackets?

Also if you select the most recent post category in the Bulk Management section at the bottom of the page and the option to subscriber and then click Bulk Update Categories does that fix the drop down and displays so they match?

I’m trying to run the bulk update but it seems to be timing out. It’s only updating 1939 records.

Is there any way to get it to stop timing out?

ignore that last message – i’m doing it in batches

Hmm, sounds like you had fewer subscribers than you expected, the only option is doing it in batches if your server isn’t fast enough to process the 6,000 records in one go.

Thanks for your help with this. Just waiting on a new post to be published – hopefully it will all work now.
