switched from google-translator to gtranslate to get the native-language selectors, but for some reason all i see from the widget & shortcode is:

Notice: Please configure GTranslate from WP-Admin -> Settings -> GTranslate to see it in action.

i _have_configured it, but on reload, the settings page resets:-\

i am successful using the floating widget on another website bostoncamerata.org

    Hi,

So it seems that you are having issues saving the settings when you try to configure it.

Try to check the “I’m having issues saving” checkbox before you hit the save changes button and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks! 🙂

tried that, no joy:-\ the widget code flashes to what i assume is an encoded version, then reverts to plaincode.

i have included your widget code into my headers (both desktop & mobile – i’m using wptouch with my kludges;-)so i’ve worked around the problem, but still…

    Hi,

I cannot comment about it without seeing it in action. Usually when you are unable to save the changes, the reason is your firewall. I would also check for javascript errors on the settings page.

If you wish me to check it for you, then you can contact our live chat and provide wp-admin login/password and also mention the link to this support ticket.

    Thanks! 🙂

interestingly the widget code works fine on iphone but not android:-\
and i’ve successfully configured it @ https://mycascadescenter.org, the floating pulldown appears, but it doesn’t fire/translate on mobile:-\ and on desktop, it fired once, now is stuck on that language, and the admin pages are also stuck:-\

nevermind: i just noticed https://mycascadescenter.org/ had the jetpack g.t. in the sidebar…removed that & it works as expected:-)

and the android issue has gone away
