    When I add an image, I can’t see the image when I edit the post. I dont want it as an featured image, is it possible to add it in the post content in backend? So I can see the image before publishing it?

    By default the images are displayed on the front-end only. To view an image that is attached before publishing, click the “Preview” button. Let me know if any questions about this.

    Your reply answered my first question but I have two more.

    1. When I select the option to feature an uploaded image it appears as the featured image with the title and again in the body of the post. How do I prevent the second occurrence?
    2. When editing a user’s post is there no way to remove one or more posted images before publishing?

    Thanks.

    1) There are two settings that control whether or not images are displayed on the front-end:

    * Featured Image
    * Auto-Display Images

    So you can check and disable/enable either of those should resolve the duplicate image issue. Also it may be your theme displaying a featured image or similar. To find out if it is your theme, simply disable both of the above plugin settings and reload the page. Any image(s) you see at that point are coming from your theme template.

    2) Yes, you can delete the custom field that contains the image URL. For each submitted post, on the “Edit Post” screen, you can toggle open the “Custom Fields” meta box, where you will find the image URLs attached as custom fields.

    Thanks, both solved. With 2) I had not selected the option to display the “Custom Fields” meta box.
