Can’t see newly create “page”

I recently installed WordPress. I am trying to create a new “page” not “post”. When I submit the page and go to view the page I get a 404 or a file not found browser error. Anyone can help me out on this. I will not I did change my urls to be search engine friendly if that has anything to do with it.
