  • HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error)

I had this the other day, was something to do with my webhosts file permissions.

Can you log in with your domain/wp-admin and try re installing the theme? If not, might be something to do with you webhosts.

I’m not that technical though, so don’t take any of that as gospel.

You will need to FTP to the site and see the information architecture (your folders).

got to the folder “wp-content”, in there you will see the folder called “plugins”

    rename this folder to “plugins-HOLD”

create a new folder called “plugins”

this will disbale all your plugins and get you back in business.

once you are back in the admin panel all your plugins are disabled.

You can delete the folder called “plugins”
and rename your “plugins-HOLD” folder back to “plugins”

Be careful. One of your plugins is causing the problem, probably the last one you installed that broke your site.

Thanks for your help. Through my FTP, I was able to look at the error log, and saw that one of my plug-ins was having issues with the theme I was trying to install. I’ve changed the theme, and everything is back to normal. This was really helpful so many thanks!

You welcome 🙂 If the issues is now resolved can you please mark it resolved. Have a successful day
