Support » Fixing WordPress » Can’t see comments when not logged in

  • Hi,
I just recently (a few hours ago) got wordpress 2.0.5 up and running. I then put the Skippy plug in for gravatars and after an hour of no joy got it working. Then I posted and left a test comment. It all looked great.

But these same comments are not working when I am not logged in and viewing from “preview mode” when editing a post. Otherwise nothing shows up down below. I am relatively certain it must be from using the gravatar edited comment.php
this entire code is at I am a total newb to php and was so so excited to get it working at first! I hope someone can help!
Oh and if you need to experience my lack of comments:

  • Ok I am really excited, I fixed the major flaw and now have what I consider an aesthetic problem. I had tried to delete all the html code stuff in skippy comment thingy. It says this before comments:

"Line and paragraph breaks automatic, e-mail address never displayed, HTML allowed:
    <a href="" title=""> <b>

    <blockquote cite=""> <em > <i> <strike> <strong>"

But I must have deleted too much code lol. It stripped all the functionality away. If anyone knows how to strip the scary looking code out without wrecking the really cool comment gravatar functionality I would send love and kisses!
