Can't see blog posts after 4.4.1 update

After installing the update, my previous postings no longer show on my page, and new postings don’t either. They are still callable from the archives. I’m a total novice, so when I read earlier posts about deleting and replacing the files, I have to confess I don’t know where to find the files. Sorry to be so uninformed.

Can you post the URL to the site? You might try to change the permalinks to default and see if that solves the issue. If it does then try changing them back to Post Name. Permalinks are under the settings menu.

Thank you, Radices. I looked at the Permalinks, and don’t see what the default settings are. There’s no “Restore Defaults” button. Hate to sound ignorant, but I am. What would you suggest I put in instead of the site name?

Change it to Plain…sorry I didn’t know they change the name.

I’m going to take a wild guess and suspect it’s because you are using an Avada child theme, and a very outdated version of the Avada base theme.

Have you tried updating the Avada theme, and alternatively asking the Avada support people over at http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/2833226/support (it’s hard for us to provide support for premium theme related issues as we don’t have access to the source, doubly so if it’s out of date).

Goto http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/2833226 and purchase a license if you do not have one and download the latest version. Then you can update it in the dashboard of your site under Appearance>Themes.
