  • For some reason 2 days ago all of my browsers have stopped working on my site.

    I have cleared cache on all 3 browsers as well as flushed dns locally.

    I can’t see any changes that were made to the site at all. On my wife’s Mac everything is fine. We sit side by side and are on the same network at home.

    Any ideas here would be great!

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    You will need to use your wife’s Mac to carry out the first two.

    What plugins do you have enabled currently? Looking at some of your site’s network requests, some seem to be coming from a cache directory, which is usually created with a caching plugin. Considering that you cleared your local cache, I’m thinking it may be a server cache issue.

    I also see that you’re hosting with SiteGround. Some hosts (such as SiteGround) include a caching plugin with their hosted WordPress sites to speed up the site, and decrease the load on the server. Within this caching plugin, there will usually be an option to “purge”/”clear”/”empty” the cache. Try seeing if that’s an option and report back.

    I was thinking about that. But what is weird is that every other computer in my house can see all of the correct info on the pages. Just my PC is the one that can’t.

    I am on Windows 10 Pro eval 17110.rs4 180223-1515 at the moment and it looks like it updated 2 days ago when this issue started.
