Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Product Dependencies » Cant save dependencies

  • I just installed your plugin as I believe it is exactly what I’m looking for. I have set it up on one of my products but it won’t save.

I’m running WP ver 5.0.2 with Avada 5.7.2 theme.

    Any known issues?

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

This is a very common issue on WP sites with lots of plugins (lots of data to post, process and save): https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/#php-539-and-max_input_vars

In most cases the default value of the max_input_vars parameter is 1000 — this means that only the first 1000 form fields are allowed to be processed and saved. Due to the amount of configurable fields added by Product Dependencies and the rest of your active plugins on that page, a higher value is required to allow precessing and saving all of them without issues.

The only way to fix this reliably is to ask your host to change this in your php.ini configuration file. Once you’ve done this, you can double check that the value has been changed correctly by navigating to WooCommerce > Status — https://cl.ly/1N3p310Z161G

Setting it to at least 5000 should do the trick.

Let us know how this goes!
