Support » Plugin: Popup Maker - Popup Forms, Opt-ins & More » Can’t save custom CSS

    1. Popup Maker > Settings > Assets Tab from the WordPress Admin
    2. I am trying to save some custom CSS
    3. CSS won’t save, instead I get this error: There must have been an error, settings not saved successfully!
    4. n/a

I’ve tried to even add a basic CSS change color: #fff; and get the same error.

Was using this article to make the CSS changes. I originally had this in my theme’s CSS file, but some custom template pages don’t use this file, so I wanted to make it local to the Popup Maker Plugin.

  • I am also having this exact same issue today.

@b-summers, @oceanazul – That field is supposed to be readonly, will be patched in the next update. But if you read the description it clearly states “Use this to quickly copy Popup Maker’s CSS to your own stylesheet.

As to the doc you linked, that simply means the bug has been there long enough that our doc writer assumed the same thing you did. Those are not editable fields though so I will correct the doc now.

So this isn’t really an issue the way you described it, the real issue is those are not editable but appear to be, which we have patched.

Copy that code to your themes stylesheet and check the options above those boxes and you can then write custom code to your own stylesheets.

Hope that helps. If you still need help please message us directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/.

Hi Daniel – ok understood. thanks for your reply! 🙂
