Cant save after changing WP URL

    Hello…Am trying to change my WP to home directory but when trying to change the URL on the settings tab it sends me to the log-in screen. When i go back to settings to see if the url has changed it hasn’t.
    Please i need to change the url but it wont let me, does anyone know why?
