I’m marking this as resolved since I think it’s all sorted from the emails we exchanged 🙂
Hi Lee,
What was the eventual fix for this?
I’m having exactly the same problem.
I can’t recall off the top of my head. Can you explain the exact problem you’re having – you should be able to remove the plugin just as you would any other plugin?
I originally had the plugin set up to calculate weight costs for shipping to regions of the UK.
However I’ve realised this isn’t necessary any more so have deactivated and removed the plugin.
I’m still however getting the ‘Weight Rate – Choose a Shipping Rate Weight Rate’ message on my checkout page. Also the fully populated regions drop down still appears.
You can try this yourself by adding a product to your cart:

and visiting the checkout:
http://www.duffieldtimber.com/store/products-page-1/checkout
(click ‘Recalculate Shipping Price?’ to hide/show the regions drop down)
Are there any particular tables I need to drop to completely clear this functionality?
That quote looks like it’s coming from WP e-Commerce’s built in weight rate module, not my plugin:
<label for="weightrate_0">
OK, what about the regions drop down that won’t budge?
The only place I’ve set these up is using your Weight & Destination Shipping Modules plugin.
The region selector is part of the core WP e-Commerce plugin proper – all my weight/region plugin does is add a tool to change the regions if you want to.
Thanks for your help Lee.
To solve I simply re-installed your plugin and deleted the regions that were previously set up before deactivating. I was under the impression that this had already been done.
As always with these things it was something far simpler than anticipated. 🙂
