# Can't Remove Menu Items

 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to add and remove menu items on my WordPress site. I go to Appearance
   > Menus and whenever I try to add a new menu item in or get rid of an existing
   one and click Save Menu I get nothing but a blank page.
 * After a bit of refreshing and going back and forth it’s managed to add new menu
   items in but I get no confirmation that it’s been saved. I’m just stuck trying
   to remove items now as they won’t delete and I get stuck with a blank page as
   soon as I click Save Menu.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder and wp-
   config.php & root .htaccess files – from a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make
   sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new
   ones.

 * Thanks, I disabled all of my plugins and it seemed to let me do it. One of them
   must be having an effect on it.
