Hi, I am trying to post my new site (www.wordonthewildside.co.uk) made with wordpress into facebook. However the status feed just states my URL (being: http://www.wordonthewildside.co.uk) and then ‘just another wordpress site’.

I changed the tagline in my general settings a few days ago (Settings > General and delete the existing tagline or add one of your own > click “save changes”)

Its still saying this on facebook. Its really bugging me, as I was going to use facebook to market my site, which will be pretty hard if I have that terrible tagline on it. Any ideas!? Your help will be greatly appreciated, and I will be able to get some sleep! 🙂

    I have three suggestions:
    1. Try to put it on manually so that only what you want (your link) shows up.
    2. Put it on Facebook again to see if the tagline changes.
    3. Edit your Facebook page and see if you can change the tagline.
    4. MOST LIKELY: Facebook is probably still seeing your old tagline. Make sure your tagline is under 60 characters. Give Facebook sometime. It will see the change and fix the issue. A lot of people have had this issue. Waiting for Facebook to detect the change is the best way to go, according to people with similar issues.
Also, could you give us the page where this is showing up on Facebook?
    Now, catch some zzz!

    Here is the SOLUTION…..woohoo!
