Can't remove a PDF link

    Hi,
    I’ve tried to remove a link on a page that linked to a PDF. The link is gone from the page, but it still shows up if you enter the link into a search engine. Is there something I’m missing?
    I submitted a request to Google to remove the link from their cache?
    Is there anything else I can do?

    How long ago did you request that with google?

    Is the file still present? Simply removing the link may not do it. You could rename the PDF file 🙂

    Thanks for responding.
    Yesterday, but it says the request was approved. Maybe these things take time?

    I deleted the PDF file from the media library so I don’t think I can rename it.

    Yes, Google doesn’t necessarily update its cache instantly. It might take a while for it to disappear entirely.
