Can't Randomize Posts

    I have tried about 5 different plugins to display random posts in a sidebar.
    I want the posts to come from a particular category. The idea is that viewers would see different posts in the sidebar every time they come to this page.

    All of the plugins I have tried claim to have this functionality, and yet no matter what I try, it always displays the last two posts I published from this category.

    HELP!?
