Can’t quite get my permalinks right

  • Most of my pages are children to the main menu so I originally set my Permalinks like this:

    /%category%/%postname%.html

However, now a few of my pages appear an extra level down (as a child to my original page names and if possible I’d like to keep the Permalink structure the same UNLESS one of these new pages is called when I ‘d like to insert the name of the parent page.

Is there a way of setting Permalinks depending on the structure of the page which is being loaded?

I hope that makes sense, but if not feel free to let me know and I’ll try to explain it more clearly.
