I got a strange error when I go to publish:

“The following components are unsupported by Apple News and prevented publishing: empty body component”

    Anyone else have this?

Can you please paste the entire JSON file for that post here as code?

    Thanks.

I think I fixed it. I had an audio file in the article using the <audio> HTML 5 tag. The error went away after I removed it. But now some articles have a WRONG_SIGNATURE on them.

Please ensure your API settings are correct and that your WordPress and web host’s timezone settings are correct. The signature is calculated using your API key as well as a current timestamp.

    Thanks.

When I check the date on the server.. I get a UTC date. I have my WordPress settings for New York/ Eastern.

Right now it’s 5:13 p.m. … and below is my server date.. is this correct?

    Fri Sep 30 21:13:40 UTC 2016

How do I make sure it’s set for the right time?

We can’t help you with your web host’s configuration, but I do believe the fact that the server time is in UTC and your WP timezone is in EDT is the cause of this issue.

Got it all set on the server by doing:

    cd /etc
    sudo rm localtime
    sudo ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Eastern localtime

    Replace Eastern to timezone.

Should I key a new API KEY?

    That’s unnecessary.

My articles say that everything was “Pushed” to Apple News successfully.. but I can’t find them anywhere. Is this a problem with Apple?

Check in your iCloud Publisher dashboard to ensure they did get pushed. Does their status say “LIVE” in WordPress?

    All status is “N/A”

Noting in iCloud.com .. Here’s what one of the JSON articles looks like..

N/A indicates it was never actually pushed to Apple News. Please check your PHP error logs for any issues.

One more thing.. in the JSON shown above. it shows the datePublished as being several hours from now… can that be the problem? If so, is there anyway to reset that published date?

    (@potatomaster)

Sounds like you’re still having a time zone issue. Double check your settings.

I just had the error. I have no audio embedded into the post, only an image.
