• I am trying to post an image to a blog. I have done this many times successfully. Yesterday and today it will not work. Essentially, I follow all the steps to add an image to the site, and click on the last step – which is something like Add the Image. Then, I get a blank square with nothing in it. I wait and wait and nothing happens. Is there a way I can add an image to my blog?

Btw, I did upgrade to the latest version of internet explorer yesterday. Perhaps this has affected it? It hasn’t seemed to affect anything else though..

    Thanks,
    Tove

  • I’m having the same issues. Since upgrading wordpress, I cannot post a picture–I go through all the steps and then I just get a blank page. Also, the latest version is EXTREMELY SLOW!

    Someone please help!

same issue – also dont this many times successfully – I can’t post a gallery. I load the photos from my computer to the image gallery and click on ‘insert gallery’ and wait and nothing happens. This has been going on for a few days now.

I did NOT upgrade yet, but it seems that people who have upgraded are having the same issue.

    thanks,
    Melody

I am having the exact same problem as described above. Very frustrating! I am running regular IE 9. Please, solve this problem as soon as possible.

I’m having trouble getting my [url] code to post images. Makes me wanna say the hell with it and go buy a vbulletin license.

I was able to solve this problem, that I and others mentioned above by installing Firefox. It worked without any problems. Must be something with IE 9. But how knows what it is.

That doesn’t seem to be the problem. I use Firefox with a manual install and I had a similar issue.

My images seemed fine when I uploaded to a folder with 777 permissions. When I changed the permissions to anything else other than that, the images would not show at all no matter what I did. My server allows multiple permissions so I know that’s not the issue.

Yeah, I’m using FireFox as well (the latest version), so I don’t think that’s it, although I am by no means a techie (which is why I chose WP in the first place) 🙂

I just downgraded my installation but I have the same problems. On either version, I can no longer even click on the photo icon. It just doesn’t do anything. SOMEONE AT WORDPRESS PLEASE HELP AND FIX THIS! My blog is useless without picture posting functions…

    Stop shouting.

    Try installing this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hotfix/

There IS a weird bug in the wild with media though it’s only been affecting the media page on the admin side. Still give it a shot. The hotfix fixes weirder things 😀

I’ve seen random upload problems with IE, but they were all server issues. Try Chrome or Firefox as a test, so see if your server or browser is causing the issue.

Thanks but I can’t get the hotfix to install. I click the link in the text file and enter my domain name and then it asks me if I want to install it to my domain but there is nothing to click. It’s incredibly frustrating. Surely there are more people having the same issue?

I’ve tried on Firefox and Safari. Firefox won’t even let me click on the add media buttons and safari will let me go all the way through but when I hit insert into post or whatever, the screen just goes blank. Please somebody help! I haven’t been able to upload pictures in over a week.

Coincidentally (?) it also says that my backup file MAY be seen by the public, and it suggest to move it from [file location] to ______ and then it’s blank. I don’t know what that means, because I’m no web programmer, I’m a WYSIWYG kinda blogger, and it doesn’t tell me where to move the htaccess file (and I don’t even know how to do that). I’m wondering if others with the images problem are experiencing the same thing, like maybe it’s related or if it’s just coincidental?
