Can’t Place Ads in Top Bar

    I don’t know what the issue is, but I can get ads to appear anywhere on generate press widgets besides the top bar. Has the top bar been disabled for html or something? I have the top bar visible, code inserted into a text widget per usual, and nothing. My forum sidebars though seem to work fine. ????

    Maybe I need to increase the top bar height to at least 90px? Any direction would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    GP doesn’t alter the output of any widgets.

    The new Text Widget in WP 4.8 will strip out javascript though.

    You can try a plugin like this until WP adds an HTML widget into core: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-text-widget/

    Thanks Tom, that was the problem. Whats weird about it is that all my old text widgets still work with java…so I assumed the new ones would also.

    There’s tons of discussion going on within the WP community about this. They’re working on something.
