    does word press only work on personal domains? I have a website from Road Runner…
    when i try to install the pages i go to show parts of the php codes…and when i tried to go to my wp-login.php it shows a pop up box asking me if i want to open or save wp-login.php…it’s located at
    oh and it didn’t give me a password either.

    Anon, you need to have php installed and be able to have php files processed by the server.
    Talk to your host (roadrunner) about enabling php, or ask them what can be done about this problem.

    You need PHP _and_ MySQL. I don’t think RR does that.

    BTW, WordPress doesn’t have anything against ISP accounts. It’s just that most ISP accounts won’t give you both PHP and MySQL for your web site. (They probably won’t give you either one.)

    Please do not be alarmed. It might seem like a step up but the environment needed for WordPress is minimal and inexpensive. MySQL/Php/ is a common feature at a few bucks a month. That is going to be all you need.
