What happens when you go to appearance -> themes, select twentysixteen and click “activate”?
yes.. it worked but the ADD MEDIA button still doesn’t work in that theme..
guess I am going to have to scrap the whole thing and pay for a site!?
I’m getting some folks to take a look. Meantime, please delete the file .maintenancein your site’s top level folder.

It’s in the top level folder of your website — use FTP or your hosting control panel.

Maybe it’s time for a reinstall. Go to Dashboard -> updates and click the link to reinstall WordPress. You shouldn’t lose any data, but you should do a backup first.

You really need to hire someone to run this site for you.
Install the plugin “backupwp” or “backupwordpress” and use one to backup your site.
Hi Steve.. well I re-installed Pinnacle version 4.6.1 and updated SEO but still no result
I couldn’t even install the BackWPup plugin, that didn’t react either.

My issue is that i can’t add media to any pages or posts… the Add Media icon does not react/open up
I am really disappointed..I put in a lot of work putting this site together I like the PINNACLE theme the way it is but suddenly over the past week it doesn’t seem to work anymore, i can not place media in any posts, the ADD MEDIA button isn’t responding, I did everything that was recommended to me including re-installing the Pinnacle theme, updating all the plugins, I deactivated one plugin at the time to see if one of them causes the problem, that wasn’t it.
So what are my options now? changing the theme? really and start from scratch?
Is there any one that can fix this issue?

As we’ve said over and over again… try changing the theme to see if that’s it. Change the theme to twentysixteen. Does the button work?
changed it to twenty sixteen and fourteen still no luck
