    Most of the security changes have been pushed until next year, but it would seem odd that this just suddenly started happening on July 1st.

    Can you verify that your server is using TLS 1.2 for HTTP/CURL requests by default?

    ah, this seems to be the problem.
    our hoster HOSTEUROPE just replied, that they are “currently planning an update on DEBIAN JESSIE for all the web servers”.
    This update will contain TLS 1.2

    So they’re basically saying, that it is not used at the moment.

    you think thats the problem?

    It’s definitely a possibility. Tough to say without troubleshooting it directly.

    after contacting our hoster, we had our server system updated.
    TLS 1.2 is used now by our server.
    but unfortunately, it did not help.

    Got any other idea?

    Our new, separate plugin for PayPal Plus is ready. I just need to get all the info files put together and package it up for release. That will be done this week.

    At this point it’s probably best to just wait until that is ready and use it. We’ve addressed all the issues people have reported using the beta included in this plugin, so it should be a lot more stable.
