Can’t migrate from Typepad

  • I’ve been trying to export from Typepad for the past three days with zero success. I’ve followed the instructions in the Codex and have done three fresh installs of WordPress and still can’t export. I keep getting this message when I perform the step to begin exporting:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘=’, expecting T_STRING in /home/.inexhaustible/angelp/digitaltechlife.com/wp-admin/import-mt.php on line 205

I never see a button that says Let’s Go. Can anyone help?

Something’s wrong with your copy of the script. Download WordPress again to get a fresh copy of import-mt.php, delete the old copy off of your server, then upload the new copy. And make sure that you are uploading it as ASCII.

Thank you so much! I did exactly as you said and I just finished exporting all my posts over! You have just enabled me to get a good night’s rest….thanks again. It’s much appreciated.
