Title: Can't make shortcode work Last modified: August 30, 2016 --- # Can't make shortcode work * Resolved [jsafire](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jsafire/) * (@jsafire) * [10 years, 7 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-make-shortcode-work/) * I can’t seem to make the shortcode work in my header.php file: * I need the menu button to appear next to my Search box so, I have the shortcode inside a div container that holds my nav div and my search div. * With the Use Shortcode checkbox checked, and the above code in my header.php file, the shortcode displays as text and the button still appears as with your default plugin behavior. * Also, is there a way to have the plugin not display any button at all. I thought this was the purpose of the Click Trigger field but that doesn’t seem to do anything. How can I display my own button without entering an image file in the plugin’s Click Button Settings? * Thanks! I had to place your normal button off-screen to hide it. If you select to use the shortcode instead of the standard way, shouldn’t the standard button be hidden if you don’t enter a shortcode? * Thanks for a nice and easy mobile menu solution!
