To make a long story short, some of my mysql database table got fried, and now WP will only cough up the “can’t make connection to database” error.
I’m backed up using the backing up plugin, the one that handles things behind the scenes. Luckily I retired the original weblog and started fresh, so the are only 30 some posts, but there is a discussion I really don’t want to lose, more than 150 comments.
What’s the best way to proceed? Do I strip all wordpress files out, reinstall, and restore?
Any help much appreciated.
