Can’t login to stage site after changing admin password

    Hi there,

    first of all thanks for the great work.

    I can’t login to my staging site, it does not accept man current admin passwort on main site.

    It is also not possible to reset the password, as I have to be logged in to do so.

    How can I reaccess it?

    Hi @gkoese

    just disable WP staging plugin on your staging site. You can do this by renaming or deleting the plug-in folder via FTP.

    Hi Rene,
    thanks for the fast response!

    I already tried that, but the password reset function does not work. On the live site its working without problems.

    Also I added a new admin on the live site but the staging site does not recognize it.

    Do you have any other idea? I am also pro User, did not activate it on the specific site right now.

    Hi,

    as I already wrote, disable the wp staging plugin via FTP or a file manager plugin from your live website.

    You can do this by renaming the plugin folder folder STAGINGSITE/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging

    Then you get a regular login prompt which allows you to use the password reset function.
