• Whenever I try to login to my site I receive an error saying:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’, expecting ‘)’ in /home/nnhsnews/public_html/wp-content/themes/dailypress/theme-options.php on line 72

I don’t know how to fix the issue without having to reset the site entirely, is there a way to fix this without having to go through that much trouble?

  • That’s a code error in the dailypress theme. Delete the theme using FTP and WordPress will use the default theme so you can get back into admin. Or upload a good copy of the theme. See Filezilla and FTP Clients « WordPress Codex.

I’m having an error with FileZilla now, every time I attempt to login to the Server I get a response:

    Response: 530 Login authentication failed
    Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

I have configured the FTP account using cPanel and followed the instructions on how to connect. Is there anything I could do to solve this?

Tallk to your host; your FTP credentials or server details are wrong.
