Your login plugin is causing this. Disable it by renaming the directory it lives in in your plugins directory. Then login using either of the standard addresses:

    /wp-admin

    OR

    /wp-login.php

    Thanks RossMitchell.

I guess I am to find my plugins directory in my account with my web hosting company. Can you please help me find this folder, my site is hosted on godaddy.com

    Many thanks.

In you GoDaddy cPanel, go to the domain and look for

    /wp-content

    Then locate the

    plugins

directory and rename it to plugins_backup or something similar.

    Thanks guys.

I’ve been able to find the plugin folder in my cpanel, although I did not rename the entire plugin folder, instead I renamed the particular plugins relating to wp-admin login, and all those I figured could be the problem.

then I tried logging in again and got another error message

“ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.”

then I made sure to change my browser’s cookies settings. then I restarted the browser (firefox), and the error is still the same.

So try renaming the entire plugins folder.

The cookies required error does not make sense, if you really had this problem then you would not have been able to install plugins etc.

Please try and access your site from a different computer, different browser.

    Many thanks to you all.

I tried accessing my dashboard on my android phone and it worked alright.

I didn’t have to rename the entire plugins folder.

the problem now is that I can access the internet only with Firefox due to the data package I am using at this time, and I still can’t access my dashboard with it due to the cookies required error.

I have tried to resolve this by clearing all history of my browser, including cookies and cache, but I still get the same error message. I am nonetheless still working on resolving the issue.

I thank you all for the support; RossMitchell, CrazyChef, WPyogi, you’ve all been very helpful.
