I had 2 factor (email) authorization active for Admins. Worked great. Then I needed support from a premium plugin developer. So I deactivated 2 factor (email) authorization.

Now I cannot login as Admin. Using sFtP, I renamed your plugin to deactivate it.

No joy. Still cannot login as Admin.

Sent a help ticket to my web host, too.

Good news – WP Simple Security Firewall instructions (FTP/rename plugin to deactivate) worked for me, too.

Turns out my problem was Advanced Custom Fields Pro error. Webhost reactivated that plugin and I can log in.

So have you kept the firewall plugin disabled? Is there a plugin conflict here I would need to look at?

    Thanks

Not yet. But thanks so much for your fast response.

Something conflicted after I deactivated 2-factor login for admin. But I’m not sure we can find it now. (And I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again). Leaving 2 factor login disabled for now.

If I can re-create the issue, I will let you know.
