    This this method: https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

You’ll be able to change the password directly in the database.

That didn’t work. Is it possible that the firewall or limit login plugin has locked me and blocked my ip address?
Should I go in and delete those two plugins?

Possible, are you seeing an error when you log in? If so, would you please quote it?

This all happened after I installed a 2 step verification plugin that I activated but wasn’t working.
I didn’t receive any error message.
On the left of the login area, there was a small red box. When I would attempt to sign in the area would shake. I was then asked to create a new password. Of course, this didn’t work.
I went into the Cpanel and deleted a 2 step verification plugin and another security plugin. I waited and was able to sign back in.
The plugin must have been an issue.
The Limit Login and the Firewall both blocked me from signing in.
Thank you for your feedback and for this forum!
