• For the past month or so, ive been having issues with many of my websites (which all run on wordpress 4.4.1) under the same hosting (which is hostgator). For some reason, whenever i want to log into http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/ , you can see that the url loads, but it gives me a blank website.

This issue has been happening for the past month or so and im ripping my hairs off trying to see what i can do. So you have an idea, these are just 3 of the 13 sites that dont load:
    http://www.alexanderravelo.com/wp-admin/
    http://www.apartamentosenrenta.us/wp-admin/
    http://www.secretosparacambiar.us/wp-admin

There was once a BIGGER issue that the website just didnt load at all, but after cleaning up my sites of outdated plugins and themes, and a fresh install of WordPress Core files on ALL of the sites, i managed to get them back online… but i still cant get into my WP-Admin / WP-Login area to the dashboard of wordpress.

Please help my strong developer friends!!!

P.S: recently on the http://www.alexanderravelo.com site, theres 2 lines of codes that appear when the site load and for some reason the theme that i previously had doesnt load, even though its still in the “Themes” folder in the Wp-content folder of the public_html.

i DO infact have a backup of the site from before that code popped up, so any help guiding on what i should do to get that site back up and running would be greatly helpful 🙂

    Hi,

Could you visit your FTP and navigate to /wp-content/ and rename the /plugins/ folder to something and check after that? 🙂

    Hi hardeep,

ive already looked around these forums of the same issua (from like 2009-2011) and seen a few tips like these. I have indeed changed the name of the Plugins folder to “plugins-temp” and created a new plugin folder to test out the plugins. The thing is that all of my sites basically run in only 1 plugin which is “wordpress SEO” by Yoast… so there really isnt much testing there.

One time when i spoke with my hosting provider, they did infact mention that there “could have” been an error between 2 plugins: wordpress super cache (which is native to wordpress instalations) and wordfence which i later downloaded. I went ahead and deleted wordfence wince it was the most recent one that was installed. But y eah, the renaming the plugins folder didnt work for me on any of the sites. I also tried deactivating all of the plugins by renaming the plugins folder to “plugins.deactivate” but that didnt work either :/

    Hi,

    For this site, alexanderravelo.com

You can visit /plugins/ folder and delete ‘wp-super-cache’ folder and it will work.

Let me know and then talk about rest of them. 🙂

I deleted the “wp-super-cache’ folder from the plugins folder… but the error still pops up. I also noticed that there’s a “wp-cache-config.php” and “advanced-cache.php” file in the wp-content folder. Is that something maybe to look into?

    Hi,

Yes, try to delete them too. But don’t forget to create a backup first. 🙂

haha yes im backing up everything i throw out the window. I deleted both .php files from the content folder, but that didnt do anything.

The 2 lines that display on the site are the following:

Warning: include(/home1/hostalex/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/hostalex/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 65

Warning: include(): Failed opening ‘/home1/hostalex/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /home1/hostalex/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 65

    Hi,

I guess you will just have to reinstall your WordPress. :/

Even the wp-content files? Im trying my best to hold myself back from deleting everything because this site has ALOT of work done in it.

    Hi,

Delete everything but wp-config.php file and /wp-content/ folder. Remove everything else. 🙂

Thankyou, ill go ahead and do that. Any clue on the other sites with the wp-admin page error issue?

There was a similar thread today about this issue and we are still not able to find this. It could be an issue with your WordPress installation too, so maybe you can also try to re install them to see if it works.

And always make a backup before doing such things. All the best. 🙂

    Hardeep
