    Hey Gerald,

The BP Profile Widgets plugin is meant to be used along with another plugin, BuddyPress. The function it refers to in the error message (xprofile_insert_field_group) is part of BuddyPress, did you have it installed and activated?

To get back into your Dashboard, you’ll need to FTP into your site and delete the bp-profile-widgets folder in the /wp-content/plugins/ folder. That deletes and deactivates the BP Profile Widgets plugin and should allow you back into Dashboard. Install and activate BuddyPress first, then try using the BP Profile Widgets plugin.

Please note, BuddyPress is like a social network for your site. It won’t allow you to have a music player for your site, but allows each person in that social network to have a separate player on their profile page. if you’re wanting a player for your site, you may need to look for a different plugin. I’ve had good experiences with this $16 one:

Let me know if my tips above don’t work. 🙂

    Hey Gerald,

Since I haven’t heard from you in a month, I’m going to guess the issue was resolved when you installed BuddyPress and everything’s good. Let me know if its not.

Thank you Slushman. I had a similar problem and your suggestion worked very well for me.

Do you have an idea how i can introduce flash slideshows in wordpress?

    Regards
