Can't log in | WordPress.org

I set up a new domain at Fatcow to point to loriealexander.com. The old domain was b-alexander.com. Now that I have the new domain when I try to log in I get blocked by an ad that says the site is for sale and I can buy b-alexander.com. The ad reads: info@domcollect.com ::DE 0049 (0)221 99 555 30 :: INT 001 (0)21 3325 2687. I have changed all of this because One&One said it was time to renew the domain. When we tried they then said the domain expired in’12. So I registered a new domain with Fatcow, lorialexander3.com. The blog comes up but I can’t log in. I will appreciate any help. Lori

You’ll need to change the siteurl and home values directly in the database to the new domain following this guide: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database

phpMyAdmin can be found in your hosting account’s control panel.

When that’s done, there may still be more things to do, so refer to https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLs if you run into any other problems.

Hi James and thank you for your reply. I couldn’t find reference to phpMyAdmin at Fatcow. I can’t log in at all to WordPress because 1&1 says the admin name for the blog is expired and Whois says it is still good until 2017. It is late now so I will try again tomorrow. Thanks. Lori

Regarding the expired domain, you’ll need to clear that up with your domain registrar (I assume that’s 1&1).

As for phpMyAdmin, contact your hosting provider (I assume that’s Fatcow) and ask either where it is or if they offer an equivalent way to browse the MySQL database.
