I have been able to log in to the wordpress dashboard on my site many times before. The site is already up and running, just needs daily comment moderation. I tried to log in today, and it isn't recognizing the password. I double checked on my hosting site for the password, and it tells me what the username and password is, but when I try to log in, it doesn't work.... No changes to the URL or password were made or anything. It was working fine yesterday.... Help!!

Does the screen shake with you enter the password?
Is o then clearly the user and password you are using is not correct.

If it does nto shale then make sure that all the white space in the function.php and header.php file are gone. This will cause a buffer error and will not let you log in.

Last is to go into PHPMyAdmin and then then manually change your password for the user you are trying to use. When changing the password make sure you select MD5 form the drop. Then save and try to log in again with the new login info.

I am having the same problem.
The screen does not shake, it just deletes the previous entries for username and password.
I tried changing the password to see if making a new password would help. It is still doing the same thing: no shaking, no entry, just the red text that indicates to renter username and/or password.
What is going on? Can I do something other than PHP Admin?
    ( I don't know what PHPAdmin is).
    please help,
    claudia

"Please log in using your WordPress.com email or username instead of your email address." is the text that comes up in red after I enter my username and password.
