Can’t log in

I set up WordPress a couple of months ago and been posting to it using NetNewsWatcher, no problems what so ever. But now I wanted to log in and change some preferences but it doesn’t accept my user/password. So I clicked on the “Lost Password” link and got a new password, but I still can’t log in. I tried both Safari and OmniWeb with no success. I assume that I’m missing something really basic, does anyone have some hints of what I should check?
