Support » Plugin: SitePush » Can't locate mysql on

  • I had great success implementing a dev, staging, and production sites locally via MAMP, and utilizing SitePush to update content between the three sites. Bringing these sites live on the web, using for hosting, I find that the path to mysql is actually not located on the same server. I understand that SitePush cannot push/pull from different servers, but it seems as though it can talk to the databases fine, just not the mysql executable itself.

Do I have any options to get SitePush to push/pull from these 3 sites? The production site lives in the root, while the other 2 are mapped subdomains on the same server.

Even if the database sits on another server you still need to have the mysql client executable installed on the same server as SitePush. It needs that to connect to the actual database, whatever server it is on.

If the mysql client executable isn’t installed on your server then you or your host would need to install it in order for SitePush to work properly.
