Support » Plugin: EZ Emails » "Can't Instantiate email" – Server set to 4x my list size

  • Greetings:

I’ve read the other incident reports about failure to send where the resolution appeared to be increasing the max limit of outbound emails permitted by the hosting server.

Based on that, I’ve been having calls with my hosting service, and they have bumped my limit 3 times… to the point where I am now almost 4x the number of recipients for the email… and it is still failing to connect.

The hosting provider has checked the email log files and can’t find anything on the logs indicating any form of error.

All attempts to send the exact same contents and the same header to 1-5 users works fine. My overall Member list is 120+… and it chokes every time. My limit is now up to 750 and it is still not “instantiating”.

    Clues? Advice?

Depending on the provider you are using, you might have also a limit of recipients in a single email.
While I am working on a major update to add extra features that will also solve this problem, I will try to prepare a new version with a workaround for this problem.
    Stay tuned.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I’ll contact my provider to see if the number of recipients is an issue, as well.

For the moment, we’re unfortunately using a distribution list and Outlook to send emails, but the list can get outdated quickly as new members join and/or apply changes to their information.

I look forward to your next update. I like your plugin the most of tools I reviewed… but we really can’t use it yet until that patch comes in. Until then, we’ll stick with Outlook and wait.

Thanks again for a nice plugin and your quick response.
