I have been trying to transfer my wordpress setup to a new server, and when I have tried to install the same plug-ins, or any for that matter it does not let me.. I’m getting the msg:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /var/virtual/web/w1032/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-postratings/wp-postratings.php on line 872
So I have researched and tried everything I can, the only thing I am unclear about is how to find and access my php.ini
A few days ago I spoke to my host who told me I do have access to edit php.ini although I cannot find it for the life of me. My host is shut until the 5th of Jan…
I have tried editing the .htaccess with
php_value memory_limit 32M
with no success..
SO I was wondering with php.ini if this is something I can access through FTP? If so where is it located? (I can not find it) If its not there and I was told I can edit it, does this mean I have to create a php.ini? If so does it have to have anything else in it apart from the memory_limit = 32M ;
This is driving me crazy… hmm..
