# Can’t install plugins after update

 * Since updating to 4.9.2 I’m having trouble installing and managing plugins.
 * I’m running a WordPress network (multisite). When I try to search the plugin 
   directory from within my admin, the loading wheel shows up and just spins. If
   I refresh the page my search results appear.
 * Also I don’t seem to be able to delete plugins through the admin interface. I
   click “delete” I get the confirmation dialog and the micro copy changes to “deleting…”
   But the plugin never deletes.
 * Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it an outdated theme/plugin?

 * None that I can see. I do think it’s an out of date plugin. I tried temporarily
   renaming my plugin directory and that made my plugin search work. I’ve got A 
   LOT of plugins so finding the one is going to take some time.

 * – try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves 
   the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them
   individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – As an alternative, if you can install plugins, install [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/).
   On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and
   change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**.

 * Actually it looks like Health Check can’t be Network activated. So I’d only be
   able to do that one site at a time. I’ll have to do it the old fashioned way 
   I guess.
