I’m now using my add-on domain with a wordpress platform.
My main domain is still empty and I tried to install wordpress for the main domain but it won’t let me, because there is a file there, which probably is my add-on domain file.
How will I proceed with these, I don’t want to overwrite anything important.
    Please help

At which point during the installation process do you run into trouble?

Hi James.. I click the install after it gave me warning.. asked me to choose if I overwrite or not..

Is this the multisite thing problem that I’ve been reading around forums, I don’t really understand much.. All I want is to have 2 running wordpress site in one hosting account… maybe 3 later on.

Are you trying to setup multisite or just have two consecutive WordPress installations?

Last December I started bbb site as my main site after I install wordpress I change my mind and change it as an add-on site instead. So bbb is add-on site and is now running. AAA is empty and that is what I was trying to install new wordpress with.. but it said that AAA has files in it and ask me if I want to overwrite this files…

Does bbb and aaa shares the same directory or something? I know htat aaa points to public_html and bbb points to public_html/bbb

Well I thought that I could install wordpress separately for each domain name without any problem, but now I realize that there is complication

There really shouldn’t be a problem, just make sure that you’re following this guide and installing each instance of WordPress files in separate directories:
