• I just upgraded my wordpress to the latest version.

Some kind of error occurred. All of my plugins say they were deactivated due to an error.

Furthermore, I no longer have no theme and it won’t let me install a theme… It says,
    “Downloading install package from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/twentyten.1.1.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Could not create directory.”

How do I fix it so it can create a directory?

It seems like maybe it’s not connecting to my FTP, but I do not know how to fix that…

Any help would be much appreciated!

    🙂

As some additional info, when I updated, it prompted me to put in my FTP info, but when I try it says:

“Are you sure you want to do this?

    Please try again.

You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/update-core.php on this server.”

What was your previous version of WordPress? The requirements have changed as of WordPress 3.2.

My previous version was 2.6 I think? It was really old…

I am hosting through FatCow and just wrote them if they have the new requirements.

    Thanks for the tip.

I’ll keep everyone posted on if this is the problem.

So the only thing that doesn’t match up with the new requirements is that my host is running PHP 5.2.2. and don’t know when they are upgrading.

Is there anyway to reinstall an old version of wordpress so I can get my site back up?

    Thanks!!

Did you have a backup? What about your host, do they have a backup?
