  • Are you adding wordpress. to your Table Prefix on install. Maybe leave it at wp_ will work for you.

Is this a completely fresh install into a new database?

I would guess wordpress is the database name you provided during the install. Have you created the database in your server?

Check the Installing WordPress codex page for installation details. There is also have a section with Common Installation Problems.

yes all new cant get the inatall.php to run

    and added define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);
and it gave me the first post as return
    hence its repair didn’t repair

Destroy the database and create a new one. This time, do not give it a name like wordpress. Call it something like mysite.

    k
ill let you know how that goes
btw how do I destroy the database

    Hi Jerry,

How do you access your DB server? Do you have phpMyAdmin?

If you have a direct connection to you DB, you can achieve it with the following command:

    DROP DATABASE wordpress

There is no undo, so be careful with it.

If your database was provided by your hosting provider, its better to contact them and ask for detailed directions.

    Cheers!

I’ve added WordPress and folder wp exists with TNG installation. Also uploaded TNG plugin to WordPress plugin folder

    WHAT NEXT ? please anyone

Instructions I cannot follow to fully integrate, as they are not for dummies

TOTALLY LOST as to what to do next

@manofmull: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own. It causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic.

@adeniranwins – please see the post right above yours and start YOUR own topic.
