can't insert the language button

hello, new to WP but it looks like i was able to set some SEO. i’m not able to use qtranslate at all though, i set my pages in English (need some mothertongue touch) but really don’t manage to set Italian.
the site is http://www.thechurch.it, contents are in English, as long as I understand I do not have to add different pages in Italian, there should be instead a way to have one page switching from a language to another but don’t know how.
help please.
