Can't Insert Images into Posts

    Like others have experienced, I’ve run into an issue where I can’t insert an image into a post (3.5). I can upload fine. I have a custom theme running (about as basic as it gets). I have turned off all plugins. If I switch to TwentyTwelve I can insert an image no problem. Switching back, insert fails. I’ve tried to copy any and all theme hooks and filters from TwentyTwelve into my theme, but nothing is happening. This is a fresh install of 3.5 and it is running locally on my machine. There are no JavaScript errors showing up in FireBug after I click Insert Into Post. None of the other suggestions I’ve seen work.

    Obviously, this can be fixed within the theme. My question is what is that fix?

    If there are no JS errors, start taking out a php function at a time and see when it dies. And check the html and css with http://validator.w3.org/

    Thanks for the suggestion. I went through and commented out all of the functions. Turns out is was a case of me using a custom media manager call in Javascript that conflicts with the new media manager. Ultimately, I ended up not needing it for my theme. Still frustrating. If there is an updated way to make a custom call to the media manager, I’d like to see it.
