Can’t insert images

    I’ve been having problems inserting pictures in my posts. Happened a week ago.
    So I upgraded to WordPress 2.3 today but it STILL doesn’t work!

    I click on the button with the tree and enter the URL for the image and it does NOT appear at all within the post.

    Any idea what could be happening?

    The ‘insert link’ function is working though.

    1. Where are the images hosted?
    2. Are you sure you entering the full URL with http etc.?

    Hello moshu,

    The images are hosted on my own server and the links are working fine. I can post those same pictures on other forums and other people can view them properly.

    And yes, I entered the full URL.

    Very frustrated!

    And what do you see in your source code? (since we cannot check it, not having a link…)

    Okay, I’ve managed to go into the ‘code’ page to manually type in < img src= “http://www.blablabla.com/image.jpg&#8221; > and it worked.

    BUT, if I tried to insert the picture in the ‘visual’ mode and selected it to align in the middle, the source code will just show this:

    <img align=”middle” />

    If I didn’t select any alignment or type in the image description (just enter the img url only), I get a blank code page.

    I have recently set up a site with WordPress and am finding very hard to get answers. You seem to be pretty good at WordPress from reading some of your post. When I add pictures to my sites I just go to Google, type in my keyword and click on images. I then save them in my pictures file and when I need them I upload them to WordPress and insert them into my pages and posts. But the problem I am noticing is that when you go to my site and click onto the picture it goes to the page (which I setup and selected “page” and inserted it into my wordpress page/post). The page comes up along with the picture on it and underneth the picture is my keyword which I originialy set up when I saved the picture from the net. But then next to my keyword is .jpg. So if my keyword was baby; it would show underneth the picture as baby.jpg. How do I get the .jpg out or even baby.jpg out. This would help me greatly.
    Can you shead some light on this?

    Also, the wordpress forum seems to be all questions without too many answers. Do you have a reccomendation on getting better WordPress assistance? I have a wordpress.org site with my own hosting co. Is there a wordpress manual?
