Can’t import CSV, username column rejected

    Hello, I am a beginner, sorry if my question is too simple: I cannot import my CSV file. Each time he said “invalid username” … I nevertheless respected the order of the columns with the username in column 1 and the email in column 2. I tried different username formats … Nothing helps! The import only works if I put an ID in this first column, which is not very satisfactory because then we cannot modify this field. can you help me please? Thank’s

    @lfone,

    First column has to contain the username (the login), and the second column the email.

    Surely you have bad placed this data.

    Forget IDs they are only used in very complex imports.

    Honestly, now it works but I don’t know why ! I want to import 1400 users. Is there à limit ?

    There is no limits.

    Only max execution time from your hosting.

    OK. Thank’s Javier. Another litte question: my fist column’s name is “user-name”. I then see in the user’s WP profile that the content is understood by the plugin as the identifier. I also see that the additional fields are displayed in this profile, and well filled out … BUT the “user-name” field, too, is displayed but it is empty … Weird, right?

    @lfone,

    The correct name for the column is username.

    If you use bad names, it appears there.

    Anyway, you can re-import another data and it should be fixed.

    Just FYI, I re-import the 1400 lines with name “username” in column 1: it’s OK … but the extra-field “username” is stil there and empty in the WP Profile… 🙂

    OK in “Extra profile fields”, disable the option “Show fields in profile”.

    And it will removed.
