• Hello,
    I’m generally satisfied with your plugin and I really appreciate all the effort you do for maintaining it.

    While I was reviewing the Optimizations tab on a website I’m running, I noticed on the report, there were a lot of trashed post in database.

    Usually I run this optimization task without second thought. But this time, I hesitate because, clearly, I haven’t had so many posts deleted since the last time I run the optimization.

    My question is, how can I identify the trashed posts? I need to see what is the content of those posts before erasing them from the database. I have access to the database via phpmyadmin.

    Thanks in advance!

  • @vagherbie You’ll have to manually checked the trashed posts from WordPress admin > Post ? Trash items and see if its okay delete.

    Hello and thank you for responding.

    I’ve already checked the trashed posts but there wasn’t any. That’s the problem. Whilst the report of WP-Optimize prompts for several trashed posts, when I check there isn’t any. So, I thought of looking directly at the database via phpmyadmin. But, I don’t know how to locate the trashed posts. Hence, I’m not really sure what’s the best thing to do. And, I don’t want to leave 1700 trashed post in the database.

    @vagherbie Have you tried to run the optimizations from WP-Optimize > Database, does it not clears the Trash posts?

    That is what I’m intended to do. But first I need to know what are those posts (because I haven’t deleted so many posts in the first place!).

    @vagherbie You can try executing following SQL query in phpMyAdmin to find out the trash posts

    SELECT *
    FROM wp_posts a
    LEFT JOIN wp_postmeta b ON ( a.ID = b.post_id )
    WHERE post_status = 'trash';

    Thank you very much. That is exactly what I needed.
